I toyed a bit with my corruptions traits and end up with this:

So my question is, given the latest changes in the Moors, is there a *must have* build? Awesome healing and, at last, decent DPS. Well, i can say im pleasantly surprised with the current state of the class. Just coming back to the game after a year absence and jumped on my defiler. I've found my best defense is surrounding myself with better players than me! Use sticky feet to slow melee after you, or better is a spider web - but you mentioned being on your own, which is tough - with no escape skills of our own, defiler survival increases exponentially when grouped. Keep moving, be ready to hit your brand or stun pot as the OB is usually a signal for cc as well and an extra second that you are immobile can make the difference.

Also keep the highest rank possible health pot ready, it's still our best heal. If you are in an area that allows it (next to a tree, rock, etc.) try to block line of sight of any hunters or ranged as much as you can for the duration of OB. This is good advice, the fear/big heal combo is a must, but also the part about positioning so you're facing things (especially burgs & guards in front of you). Not much, but it may give you a fighting chance. I would suggest (assuming you are focused while being OBed) to face the freeps (mitigation is better when facing than from side or back), drop your fear (to avoid being inturepted while casting), drop your Hots that give +15% incoming healing and cast Fell Restoration right after.
